River Island is a brand with great British fashion heritage and a founding
member of the British High Street. Originally starting out as Lewis
Separates, the brand became Chelsea Girl in 1965 before evolving into
River Island in 1988.
Inspired in the 60’s by our King’s Road store in Chelsea, Lewis Separates
became Chelsea Girl and lead with a fusion of fashion and popular culture
to become the UK’s first fashion boutique chain.
So River Island will be celebrating the launch of the Chelsea Girl collection by offering their followers in the Facebook community the chance to be a stylist for Cosmopolitan.com and River Island on an all expenses trip to London.. Sounds amazing doesn't it?!
Each week the creator of the most individual outfit of the week wins £200 in River Island vouchers. An overall winner will be chosen at the end of the four weeks. This winner will get to style a fashion shoot in London, all expenses paid, which will appear on Cosmopolitan.com and Riverisland.com.
Head over to www.facebook.com/riverisland for more information on how to enter.
The new Chelsea Girl SS11 collection has a heritage and vintage spirit inspired by the original brand, but with a unique 21st century twist. Floral and geometric-inflected prints, wispy fabrics and sinuous shapes bring together a discernibly bohemian aesthetic that captures the Chelsea Girl mystique.
I have been a big fan of their Chelsea Girl range, and I always try to get one of their Chelsea Girl Tshirts. Let's hope I nab one again this year. I am currently uploading a video to youtube showing you a blouse from the range, and how I styled it so keep your eyes peeled for when that uploads.
For now this is the blouse, I love it!
