Kiss It Better with Clinique♥

When your ill or even a little bit down in the blues there is nothing better than a hug or a kiss from a loved one to cheer you up, that is certainly something that rings true with me especially since over the last year! So when I saw this pop up in my inbox I knew I wanted to share it with you all. Clinique is delighted to partner for the fourth year running with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity for the KISS IT BETTER appeal - raising money to fund research into the causes and treatment of childhood cancer.

Clinique'a lip smoothies are a favourite products of mine, and I have talked about them in depth in the past. So this new limited edition Smoothie Kisses Lip Gloss Set featuring the latest lip launch from Clinique, Vitamin C Lip Smoothie Antioxidant Lip Colour. This gorgeous limited edition set of four Vitamin C Lip Smoothie glosses, in Pink Me Up, Goodness Grapecious, Nude-tricious and Mango-thon, housed in a brightly coloured pink bag will be sold exclusively in House of Fraser stores nationwide during the month of February, with £4.00 going to the KISS IT BETER appeal (£2 from Clinique and £2 from House of Fraser).

Vitamin C Lip Smoothie Antioxidant Lip Colour is Clinique’s first lip product to incorporate this one-of-a-kind ingredient into its formula. And, together with Vitamin C and Pomegranate – Açaí Berry helps protect against oxidative stress, which causes premature ageing. With continued use, this powerful potion can help reduce the appearance of lip lines caused by ageing, while delivering gorgeous colour.

If that wasn't enough throughout February Clinique & House of Fraser will also make a £2.00 donation on all Clinique lipstick or lip gloss sold at House of Fraser stores nationwide.

Clinique Lipstick & Lip Gloss - RRP from £13.00 - £15.00

M.A.C with World AIDS Day 2010

If you aren't aware today, December 1st is World AIDS Day and after I got an interesting email I wanted to share a little bit about MAC and what the brand does to help out with the cause.

Some lovely make-up artists from MAC in both London, Dublin and Edinburgh will be putting away the make-up brushes and putting on their red ribbons to participate in the companies volunteer effort to honour World AIDS Day.

Through out the the country the MAC artist will be at locations helping to raise awareness and spread the word. MAC artists from London and Edinburgh will be there to pitch in and help at London’s Positive East and Edinburgh’s Waverley Care, all to give up some time to work their artistic flare in decorating service and meeting rooms, that are used by the charities.  The M.A.C Aids Fund has supported Positive East since 2006 and Edinburgh’s Waverley Care for over 10 years.

Over the water in Dublin they with be participating in the Open Heart House charity “Sleep Out”.  This will be the inaugural Open Heart House “Sleep Out” and it is a great way for MAC to develop the support it has given to this charity since January 2000.

Since MAC began their work with the charities they have donated over £230,000.

Since 1998, through the sale of Viva Glam lipsticks and lip glosses, the UK and Eire have raised over £4.4m), which is a fantastic achievement towards the help & support of people who are living with HIV & AIDS.

Facts:

Here's what one Viva Glam purchase can provide…

♥ Provide 1 nutritious meal for a support group for 2 days

♥ Provide support and education for 5 pregnant women diagnosed with HIV/AIDS giving them the tools to prevent transmission to their unborn child

♥ Buy 1 pair of school shoes for a child orphaned by AIDS

Purchase 1 school starter pack of stationery for a child orphaned by AIDS

♥ Buy 1 vegetable seed starter pack for a community garden

♥ Purchase health education posters for a child care resource center

♥ Provide 1 Party Pack for a child to celebrate Christmas, Easter or a birthday.
Since the inception of the M∙A∙C Aids Fund, together we have raised in excess of $190,000,000

Don't forget to also get a cuddly 'Sir Teddy' or a  'Tis Noble to Give Viva Glam Lip Bag’ where 100% of the sale price (minus VAT) go to the MAC Aids Fund.

I'm seriously impressed with just how much MAC do and give to the charities. Finding out just what buying something from Viva Glam purchase can provide has really made me want to buy backups, and I have placed my order for my lipstick backups.

Get involved too and go pick yourself a treat, and do a good thing this holiday season!
