Bright light city ♥

Thought I would share some bright lipsticks that I have been wearing non stop this past fornight, stepping totally away from my safe nudes but now when I put a nude or milky pink shade on I feel naked! I crave bright in your face lipsticks atm.

The three that I have been rocking are: In order from left to right

MAC - Impassioned

L'Oreal Colour Riche Intense - 370

17 Lasting Fix - Dreamy

MAC Impassioned is my favourite of the three, I always get compliments when I wear that shade everyone says it really suits me! 17's lipsticks have really impressed me this is my 2nd from the brand it is very similar to Illamasqua Obey/Fable so I will be doing a post on those, as 17 is more available and cheaper than Illamasqua.

Any other super bright lipsticks I should know about? I have quite a few already but I can't resist a bright pink or coral lippie ;)

I'm a little bit toxic ♥

I'm going to be splitting my posts on the Illamasqua Toxic Nature products as I want to give them their own little posts as I think they are just fab. As I'm sure you've guessed this post will be on the new cream pigments  that they launched with this collection.

They were super lovely and sent me two of the colours, Hollow - A cream/nude colour and Mould - A deep blackened plum.

I am really impressed with these products, I have been using Hollow on my eyes, cheeks and lips and Mould has been my go to shade for creating a smokey eye. They give a matte and very pigmented finish, that is crease and water resistant.

If you like your multi purpose cream products then do check these out!

RRP £17.00

Illamasqua Fable Lipstick ♥

Since I dyed my hair with the pink I have been wearing a lot of brighter shades of lipsticks, I just feel a little washed out if I wear a nude lip atm. Illamasqua Fable and Obey have been two of the colours I have been loving, if you want to see my post on Illamasqua's Obey lipstick you can here! I love how long lasting Fable is on my lips, it is a matte finish so you might find it may dry your lips but I find applying a lip balm before stops this.

You must Obey me! ♥

Illamasqua Lipstick - Obey

This was one of my first purchases from Illamasqua and this is my 2nd one. It truely is my most worn peach lip colour, it is the perfect blend between milky peach tones that also have a bright impact (make sense?). It is creamy and moisturising on my lips, not drying, some of Illamasqua's lipsticks can be rather drying but this one is brilliant.

I can see my wearing this to death throughout spring, it is a great colour and on trend.

Obey is near the top in my fave lipstick list. Maybe I should do a post on my most loved lipsticks?

This is my favourite look of the moment, and will be hoping to recreate this look in one of my projects on my make-up course. I think it would also look fab if you were dressing up as the Queen of Hearts, what do you think about this look?

Illamasqua Quills♥

“I was inspired by the contrast between Illamasqua’s new black Nail Varnish in ‘Scorn’ and the bright metallic of the nail wrap I have developed.” Mike Pocock

Nail Quills? Is this the next in the nail trend? I'm not sure I'm convinced, sure they look visually stunning and very creative, but practical? Not so much. Value for money? At £35 a pair they are pretty steep. You would have to ensure you keep these in top condition in order to wear them again and again to get your worth.

Unique, extraordinary, and extravagant these tantalising talons are like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Designed and handmade exclusively for Illamasqua by one of the hottest names in nails, Mike Pocock, these collector’s items are guaranteed to tease the senses of anyone whose eye they catch. Presented in a beautiful gift box they come complete with nail tabs and glue. False nails will never be the same again!

I love the idea but sadly they aren't for me. Though I am lovely the creativity we are seeing with nails right now!

Illamasqua Art of Darkness Collection♥

You all are aware about the Art of Darkness the latest collection released from Illamasqua I did a post about the launch a while back. But I want to show you the products that the every so kind Alex sent me to try from the collection. I loved the deep jewel tones and the rich colours, very dark and mysterious much like the imagery.

♥Pure Pigment £15.00 - Ore♥
A gorgeous rich golden bronze colour, with glitter shot through. Looks stunning all over the lid with MAC Carbon in the crease for a sultry smokey eye. As with every other Illamasqua pigment the quality is brilliant.

♥Liquid Metal £17.00 - Stotic♥
This was the second liquid metal I own, but I far prefer this for the deep jade colour, the best colour they have created in my opinion. I have worn this smudged all around my eye with a dusting of a silver eye shadow to set it, and it really brings out the white of my eyes. I got a lot of compliments when I wore it out.

♥Lipstick £15.00 - Disciple♥
This is perhaps the stand out product for me but also one that pushes your make-up boundaries. It takes confidence to wear this out, especially when it's not for a fancy dress party. I found this worked best gently patted onto the lips and finished off with a red gloss to give a really intense blue/purple lip. Just remember if you feel confident, you'll stand out for the right reason not for being the girl wearing blue lipstick!

♥Precision Ink £16.50 - Alchemy♥
Everyone was raving about these liners, the black one apparently is the top liner out there on the market. But I hoped this would turn up and I was thrilled when I saw this colour. I have been wearing this under my lower lashes with just mascara (or a very nude eye shadow) to give my eyes twinkle that catches the light. The staying power of this is amazing too. The swatch below stayed on even after a shower scrubbing loofah! Seriously impressive.

Dear Santa...♥

So in the run up to Christmas I will be posting here and there about gifts or limited edition products that I think are stand out's this holiday season. The Christmas party season is the time for sparkle and luxury, we all like to glam up for nights out and parties, and what is better than a fabulous set of false lashes make that extra glamorous statement to your make-up.

I love the winged out lashes, with a lashes crossing with splashes of the vintage gold and antique silver diamanté adornments. This style is a particular favourite of mine as I find the shape to be much more flattering that other false lashes.

Illamasqua do a great range of lashes, from subtle to over the top - there's something for everyone! This Christmas Illamasqua have released these lashes, in both gold and silver. The are sure to be a sell out and will be sure to make a great addition to any make-up addicts collection. With names like Decadence and Opulence who can resist?

Are you going to invest? I have these on my wish list...

RRP £25.00

Illamasqua haul♥

♥Illamasqua Nail Varnish - Harsh
Such a gorgeous silver glitter, this comes 2nd to OPI Mad As A Hatter in my favourite glitter polishes! Two coats and you get the perfect coverage. As for the pain of removing a glitter nail polish, I find this easy peasy to take off, for reference I use OPI nail varnish remover.

♥Illamasqua Obey Lipstick
One of my favourite lipstick, this is my 2nd tube. Such a bright peach colour, with a matte finish but not as drying as some matte's can be. I really recommend you go swatch this or try it on, I just love this colour.

♥Illamasqua Liar Lipstick
On-line this looked really pretty, a barbie pink but with shimmer shot through it. In real life it is a little sheer but you can build it up easy, its smooth on the lips and isn't drying at all. It also looks really pretty in a picture with flash, it brings out the shimmer more which I really like.

Next Illamasqua post will be on the bits I got from the Art of Darkness collection....
