Getting Festive

This year has gone by so quickly, it seems like just yesterday I was having fun in summer with the boyfriend and besties and all of a sudden I'm Christmas shopping ahh!! Whilst on the way back from the pharmacy and doctors I popped into my favorite boutique in Marlow, Huttons, they always have the cutest clothes, accessories, homeware and gifts. I picked up a couple little xmas presents and some home pieces but also a few other bits I want to share with you. All of course in the festive spirit.
These Hello Kitty Christmas cards were just too cute not to buy, different from my normal style of xmas cards but I'm sure my friend will love them! They had loads of different designs to choose from, I settled on these two sweet ones.
Getting in the festive mood again with this candle, I am a huge candle lover with about 4 different winter festive ones on the go already however this one was different to the others. This is a lot lighter and sweeter, not as spicy and deep so I thought it would be a nice change.
You may have seen my other post last week about the circle necklace (pictured above) that I love, it is  so delicate and small - perfect for my taste! So when I saw this teeny snowflake one I knew it would be the perfect necklace for winter. Normally I'm not a big necklace lover, I prefer bracelets but when I do buy a necklace I like them to be small and simple like these. Aren't they pretty together? I can hear the heart one calling my name...
I could get a good shot of this headband on it's own, as it is so dark and the light outside was going too but I think this picture does it justice nicely! Headbands are a favorite of mine during the colder months, who am I kidding I where them whenever I can all year round. This one is different to others I own, it is a lovely thick knit that is braided. I think it looks rather nice on me, they had it in grey and tan too so you may see this in another colour on my blog soon too ;).

In and Out with a NOTD

Starting with out this week:

Out
- Hospitals; I've been off work this week rather poorly my kidney infection from two weeks ago that I thought has cleared up actually didn't, it clearly was having too much fun in my body. This meant numerous trips to my GP and being admitted into hospital, something I didn't want as I get really scared in hospital. Being put on strong sedatives that really knock me meaning evening when I am awake, I'm not really with it. As I type this at 3am I' awaiting a call from the Doctor as I'm in a lot of pain and despite being on 3 painkillers plus 2 sedatives and a cocktail of other medication I'm doubled out (the laptop is at my feet I am literally bent over)
- Missing the blonde blonde hair; as much as everyone loves the new hair colour on me, me included, I do keep looking at old pictures that make me want to run to the hairdresser and ask for the bleach back. However this colour is nicer and I will stick with it. For now.
- Not having the boyfriend around; I'm ill and I want to snuggle up next to him. Simple. I love his cheesy grin.

- Being spaced out; I get why I am on the sedatives but right now it doesn't feel great.
- Rain; please can we have some sun back? We pretty much missed summer Britain was robbed!

In
- Bliss Triple Oxygen skin products; I have been using a lot of Bliss products lately (post coming soon) and they have really improved my skin, I've noticed such a big difference in two weeks. The oxygen face mask in particular is a fabulous product, I had a facial done in Glasgow by Bliss and have used the mask ever since.
- Perfume; Elli Saab, Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy, Chloe Rose Edition, Caudalie (the red one).. I could go on and on. When I feel a little down a quick spritz of a loved perfume instantly picks me up and brings back good memories attached.
- Peach Ice Tea; When I'm ill I crave this stuff and the bestie brought me a HUGE bottle yesterday so I have been drinking it like its going out of fashion. It's so addictive, over summer not a day passed where I didn't have a costa ice tea.
- By Terry Baume De Rose; It is crazily expensive but it is the best and I cannot get enough of it I am going through it too quickly for my liking.
- Good Things; The new body products smell yummy and make my skin feel great I will do a post soon, it's long overdue. I'm thrilled they are doing body products as I love the facial skin range, the wipes and mask are two firm favorites of mine that I repurchase time and time again.

I'll finished with my nails courtesy of Elegant Touch

These are SO out of my pale pink or glitter comfort zone but when they popped through my door I couldn't resist whacking them out just for the fun of it. Elegant touch has always been a favorite of mine for false nails, they do so many great designs everything from french manicure to bright tips to matte to prints like this. There is something for everyone, with a a budget friendly price point and great quality that will last more than your usual manicure. I find if you look after them and apply them correctly you can get atleast one weeks wear from a pack.

What do you think, does the Queenie Rock?

Returning to life ♥

Hey guys I'm back from my little stay-cation, so I can get right back into blogging and I'm so happy. A week without the internet has really made me see how much I use it, and when it's not there how much I miss it! I've included 3 more pictures from out last day, I love the one of the waves crashing against the wake breaker I stood for ages taking picture after picture. I love pictures of waves crashing.

I also wanted to include a snap of my little feature that is appearing in Cosmopolitan, I forgot to snap a picture of the company page but I plan on a full post for both of these tomorrow :D Seeing my face in these two magazines has been unreal, I just can't get over it, I know it's nothing amazing but to be in two magazines that I read without fail every month is like a dream.

I'm about to crack out a holiday product post so that should be up in a couple of hours time, until then..

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

Hey guys so I may or may not have left all my posts n draft form so you won't be reading those this week. However I am blogging from my phone, I cna't guarentee they will be all beauty related posts but since I'm away for a bit I may as well keep you in the loop with what I'm doing.

I'm writing this right now as I sit outside our house for the week, watching the sea below with the waves crashing with the warm sun on my face - granted the breeze is ruining it a little but none the less relaxing.
It is so nice just to be away out of the same place, away from the city even for just a week and to be by the beach. I'm not anywhere snazzy just a nice family trip down to Cornwall. Senen Cove to be exact, a lot of fond memories for all of us here.

Waking up in the morning bright and breezy at 7am to blue skies and the sound of the waves crashing, no cars, no city noises just the world passing by.

So yes I'll be updating hopefully a couple of times from here. I shall leave you with a snap I have taken over the weekend, nothing amazing but rather good for someone who usually can't take good photographs, I will upload a few more tonight fingers crossed (there is no web here!!!!)

Today I don't feel like doing anything ♥

The title says it all, today is another lazy day in MrA's house, as I type the whole family is comfy & cosy of the sofa watching tv and scoffing pudding. However I chose a healthier option instead of chocolate deserts, I went for my much loved coconut yogurt, I need to go to rehab for this stuff I am far too addicted!

I also sneaked in a quick snap of my bracelets colourful, sparkly and  lots of stacking, my favourite way to wear bracelets atm. Lately I've been opting to wear bracelets, instead of earrings and necklaces it looks more paired down and simple which I like. Does that make sense?

Also I wanted to ask whether I should start doing OOTD posts again? Did you like them before let me know in the comments :)

Lazy Day ♥

This isn't an exciting post, in-fact I just wanted show off my feather hair extensions and my OPI Do you lilac it nail polish - such a super summery shade I think! I am loving the feather hair extensions from Halo, this is the neutral shade which I think suits me but I still reckon I will pick up the pink shade as I do love anything pink after all.

Today I'm spending the day snuggled up on the sofa with MrA watching meaningless TV and drinking copious amounts of tea. My stomach has been killing me for 2 days now, not even tramadol is kicking it :( urgh

Sunday, 1 May 2011

Hello lovelies, I am still enjoying my break I have travelled right down to London and I am currently now in Aberdeen so from one end of the country to the other! I cannot believe how sunny and hot it has been, I was in disbelief that MrA and I spent the day at the beach in ABERDEEN, it is the hottest we have seen it.

I have a beauty post going up this evening and a video being loaded onto youtube, I will admit this last 10 days I've been away from blogging have been lovely but I am certainly ready to kick my butt back into action and roll some posts out (maybe a couple videos too?).

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend and enjoying the gorgeous whether!

Some news.. ♥

OK I like to take silly photos, but its for your enjoyment really! I just wanted to share some news with you, as of next week I will be starting a job in marketing working with the client New CID Cosmetics, a brand I've mentioned on the blog before that I really like. So as I'm sure you can guess I am really excited to start. I will be blogging as usual, so don't worry. Though I am taking a little break this weekend as I was in a minor car accident on Thursday so my back is really sore and I don't feel like doing anything.

I also just wanted to show you my new turquoise ring that I have worn every day for the last two weeks! Simple but gives a nice little pop of colour...
