The Body Shop, Vit E mist

OMG! wow. LOVE.

can you tell how much i love this already? hehe, this is what the body shop website says about the spray:
A quick skin pick-me up and excellent for setting make-up. Spritz it on for instant refreshment, moisture, and protection. With a delicate rosewater scent.
I was going to buy the new fix+ from MAC that has rosewater in it, but when i realised this was essentially the same product i removed it from my order, i love how this smells, a very very light rose scent nothing over powering at all. As part of my routine I was using this to prep my skin before my primers and then after makeup, and since we've had this heat wave in the south ive been using this alot more to hydrate my skin throughout the day.

Overnight i store this in my fridge so the next day its chilled and feels even more refreshing on my skin, so thats a good tip if you have any sprays like this.

Its a very light spray, sinks straight into this, i tried to get a photo to show this, you can see a little dewy-ness on the skin but that was gonna by the time this snap saved.

Its retails for £6.85, much cheaper than fix+. I will definately be rebuying this when it runs out, i predict soon :)

Body Shop Foundation Brush

First of all VERY impressed with the quality of this brush, the bristles are very soft and it creates a very even coverage. Since i got this, i havent used my 187, 188 or clinique foundation brush at all, ive reached for this for everything. Its tapered so the tips can reach into hard to reach places like the sides of your nose around the eye.

It retails for £11.25 which is much cheaper than other brushes on the market.

So this is just a short post as I will be using this in an upcoming foundation demo video :) and youll probs get more insight from that

Guarana Lip Butter

As you all know i was sent some goodies to try from the Body Shop, and ive been using the Guarana Lip Butter everyday since i got it, it has replaced my use of my YESYESYES lip butter. Mainly because of the smell im fickle that way :)

I dont suffer from very dry lips, however when they do get dry and i try my best to always apply some form of balm everyday to keep them in good condition.

This one smells divine, for me kind of like a berry/bubblegum scent which suits me PERFECT! :D

The texture is a weird one, i can feel little bits in it, nothing to obvious but there is defo something in this.

At first i didnt like it because of the texture but once you start to wear it it melts into your lips. Its a thick butter too, and gives a nice glossy finish to your lips, very natural which is great for the summer.

They retail for about £4.85, which is a bit pricey for a lipbalm, however perfect as little treat for yourself. My other fave is the wild cherry scent, a must have for me !

Heeeeeeey guyyyyyyyyyyssssssss

i dont wear false lashes ! sometimes i will but i tell you! haha soooo many comments lately about my lashes, i got a message telling me they were fake! errrrrm surely i know better??

Well the wonderful product behind my new lash 'spurt' is Lipocils, bought from SpaceNK for £20, basically they advise you use it morning and night for 28 days to see results. I personally saw results after around 3 weeks and im still using it up because there is plenty left (im at the 5 week mark now)!

For a mere £20 i have thick full lashes and im soo happy, im finally (almost) kicked my false lash obsession thanks to this. I was sooo unsure when i got it whether it would cost compared to more higher priced brands. The biggest change has been the length, my bottom ones touch my skin now something that before, even with a TON of mascara, never happend and my top lashes on a good 'curled' day reach my brow bone.

You guys have all been asking if they are real and hand on my heart they are, its all down to Lipocils. Give it a go and let me know how you get on with it :)

I defo recommend! :)

I shall also do a video for youtube when iget round to it.

birthday girl

Review

I was asked my opinion on Benefit's Georgia, and i have to say its not a product that i love alot. I very rarely reach for this product, they describe it as: "a 'just peachy' face powder", and for me it doesnt do anything. As a face powder its far too light, as a blush again its far too pale and the time it takes to uild up the product just isnt worth it for the sheer colour pay off and as a high lighter i just feel it doesnt illuminate my cheek bones enough. My biggest problem is the scent, it is far too strong for a face powder every time i open the box i immediately want to close it again to get rid of the synthetic scent that i presume is meant to be peach? but it fails to meet that description. It is priced at around £22 and in my opinion i could go to MAC and get something for far better value that i for sure would use alot more. So for now until i come up with some use for this, it will remain tucked away in my collection.

Hope that helps,
Lu :)

Ok, why dont we have forever21 in the UK?? I really want these but shipping charges?? HA. no.

well ..

Hey all my lovely readers, this isnt going to be a makeup related post im afraid, more a personal blog :).

Its been nearly a year since i started blogging on here, and i have truely enjoyed sharing everything with you guys! I was just thinking how little you probs really know about me, so should i do a questions video?? Let me know :) Im really grateful i have such amazing people i can chat to about my obsession, not many people in my life have the same interest. My youtube and blog are something i am truely enjoying, its more than hobbie now i think, i feel a commitment to it and to you guys! Without you all, id just be posting meaningless junk to, well, myself?

My 18th birthday is on friday, and im really excited to be turning 18, dont ask me why but i am :) I shall post a video on friday fingers crossed if youtube works me for, it keeps failing, and ill announce the birthday contest winner. My 16th birthday passed by with a bang, i was rather a 'rude girl' in colloquial language terms, however i have planned a more dignified day and weekend. It is Marlow regatta here too this weekend which i always enjoy but this year it means more excuse to have a little fun.

Im coming up to the end of my exams now, only two left then im free lol! It has been so stressful i missed alot of classes this year due to illness, so it has been hard but i worked hard and im proud of what ive done and i couldnt have given anymore through these exams. Thankyou to everyones supporting words, and wishing me good luck :) Only my law exams to go now.

This year has been a tough one, the year started off with a back injury, then my January exams pretty much sucked and then a close friend of mine decided to stab me in the back, but the sun is finally coming through the clouds and everything seems to be falling into place again and i couldnt be happier. Health is ok (minus the flu atm), exams are much better than the Jan ones, work is FAB :) and said friend has said sorry and we are slowly talking again, which i am pleased about as i hate conflict. However, i was pleased at my silence throughout the friend issue, i managed to stop the inner mean girl coming out haha.

Now all i have to worry about is my alevel results for Uni.

This is the end of my little blog, sorry it isnt makeup related, however if you want me to blog more amount personal stuff let me know, but this is my outlet for everything :)

I love you
Lu x

haul :)

Collective haul from the past week, if you want a review of anything just leave a comment.

i want her hair

miranda kerr

i continue the search

Since trying out the body shop scrub ive been drawn to their website, inclined to discover what gems they have for skincare, as i have blogged about before my skin is rather particular about what i use, and while atm i have my wash and moisturiser in control i am stil looking for a scrub and makeup cleansers that do not give me a reaction.

So i went onto their website and had a look around, and these products seem to have good reviews, and seem to be ok for the sensitive and picky skins. My question to my readers is have you tried any of these and what do you think? I really want to give these a try..

Seaweed Purifying Facial Cleanser - now they say "A mild oil-free and soap-free milky cleansing lotion. Effectively removes make-up, impurities and daily grime, without drying the skin. Leaves the skin feeling cleansed, soft and supple with a shine-free, matte finish."

Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover - they say " Float away the day with refreshing rosewater to gently cleanse and dissolve eye make-up. Also conditions lashes so they feel soft and silky."

Aloe Gentle Exfoliator - they say " Gently lifts away dulling skin cells, dirt and grime, leaving skin clean and refreshed. For optimum results, use once or twice a week."

Vitamin C Re-Texturising Peel - they say "A bright orange coloured liquid gel, with a really zesty fragrance, that gently peels away surface dead skin cells and shrinks pores to reveal smoother, softer and clearer skin. The complexion is brighter and appears more fresh, radiant and dewy."

Review: The Body Shop Vitamin C Micro Refiner

This is a review for the Body Shop Vitamin C Micro Refine, which i was kindly sent to try and give my opinions.
Now when i first had a play with this product i was really excited, it seemed to remove all my dead cells and my skin seemed to glow, however, my skin has issues with some makeup cleansers and scrubs they had to be very gentle otherwise my skin comes out in a rash and i can get really painful breakout.

So up until now i thought i was safe until i woke up this morning and everywhere i had used this was covered in a bumpy horrible rash (no pictures as i find it rather embarassing).

But i have to say, wow to this product i just wish i could use it! My skin had this lovely glow to it. So im going to see whether its something i can use every so often maybe before a party or special dinner so that my skin is looking tip top.

Now onto the facts, this is described by the Blody Shop as:

"A rich and creamy facial exfoliating product with tiny scrub particles that work effectively to deep cleanse and remove dead skin cells, instantly improving skin texture and tone to leave it looking and feeling softer, smoother and more refined and radiant. Its zesty scent complements the scrub action for a refreshed and invigorated feel."

It is very creamy and thick, as you can see from the pictures, even when spread out it still has the creamy feel, it is very grainy though, so if you dont like that kind of scrub stay clear of this one. It has alot of granuals, and thats the kind of scrub i like because to me if i can see/feel the product doing something then i feel like its really working (this is exactly what im like with shampoo i need to see it foam lol) its not as harsh as some can be, and i think this is due to the thick texture which acts like a cushion to stop it over scrubbing ?

The scrub is lovely and definately something i will persist with every so often as i love the radiant complexion i get but for now ill have to stick with my origins scrub, as i continue my search for a scrub and makeup remover that are gentle enough.

Project 10 Pan: Update

Well im very proud of myself and i have completed round one of PTP, i finished about a week and a half ago, so i have picked up a few things but due to hauls i havent really found myself 'needing' anything, which is good.

So this is a picture i posted onto dailybooth of my finished products, and ill list them for you too:
- MAC p/p Layin' Low
- MAC prep and prime face SPF 50
- MAC prep and prime eye (NOT PICTURED)
- MAC select concealer
- Clinique Powder
- Clinique Instant Perfector
- UDPP
- Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara
- Zafi eyeliner
- Clarins Wonderlash Mascara
and i hit pan on
- MAC Jest e/s
- MAC Brule e/s

However, i have put myself on a MAC collection ban until after my alevel results in August, extreme i know but 1. i need to save for uni and 2. it means i can REALLY treat my self to any collections then, none of the upcoming collections stand out to me, and if something does i can manage as i most likely have something similar already.

I will start round two in July time :)

The Body Shop

So i was contacted and i asked whether i would like to try and review some of The Body Shop products, and of course i said yes, i love the company but have only ever stuck to a couple things, i had never ventured to other products.

The lovely Natalie said she would get some goodies sent to me this week and this morning the UPS man delivered and i ripped it open, i was only expecting sample sizes so i was very excited when i saw these . . .

Ive been playing this morning instead of revising, which is silly but i couldnt help it. I loveee the bronzer so far, and the lip butter was a given since i love the yes yes yes lip butter.

Let me know if you have tried any of these, and once ive had a good shot at trying these ill will post reviews :]

good fun
