Favourite Products ♥

♥ Miners Bronzer
This has been my go to cheek and contour product, I have a ton of bronzers to choose from but this is the one I immediately go for. Soft and easy to blend, with the prettiest mix of satin and matte it doesn't overload my face with shimmer, it still looks natural. Miners is a really affordable brand that you can get in Superdrug in the UK so next time your in have a look for this.

♥ MAC Myth Lipstick
I go back many moons with this lipstick, it was the first MAC lip product I purchased and swiftly fell head over heels in love with this nude shade. It is for me one of those perfect nude shades, it is a satin finish, some people find it drying but I rather like how it is on my lips it doesn't dry mine out at all. This is my 3rd tube ? and with no doubt repurchase again and again and... well you get the idea :)

♥ Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Body Cream
This tube has sat unused for quite some time until about 3 weeks ago when my body started breaking out in itchy rashes, with no E45 cream to hand I searched through my stash for something that might work. I grabbed this as I remembered it has the same medicinal properties for skin as the original eight hour cream but obviously in a body lotion. Every night since (except tanning nights) I have slapped this on, my skin feels fabulously silky soft and it helps a lot in soothing the rashes making them vanish quickly!

♥ Stila Eye Shadow Quad - Kitten
I. Love. This. Simple as that it has all the colours I look for, both for soft day time looks and then the darker shades to get a smokey eye too. The eye shadows are soft and easy to blend, they don't crease and the colour pay off is really good. This has been my go to in terms of shadow this month.

♥ Essie - Lilacism
I seem to have painted my nails A LOT this month, but no matter what shade I put on red, black or orange I always go back to this. It is a pretty pale lilac, no shimmer, and it is very glossy I don't need a top coat at all. I'd say I can get 4 days chip free, a little wear on the very tips but nothing noticeable.

♥ YSL Touche Eclat
Since I haven't been sleeping very well I've needed some extra help covering up those dark circles and this does the trick nicely. Sneakily concealing my late nights making me look wide awake and bright for the day.

♥ Liz Earle Brightening Mask
Favourite skin care item of the moment, it helps to kick the dull winterness out of skin and inject a little brightness. A really good tip is to mix a little in with your cleanser ( I use Liz Earle cleanse and polish to do this ) in the morning if your a busy bee and don't have the time to sit down for a face mask, and it does the same job of brightening up your beautiful complexion.

♥ Liz Earle Superbalm
This is my new handbag essential, solving everything from dry patches of skin, chapped lips, hands, cuticles to well anything that needs a little injection of moisture. I prefer the balm texture to Elizabeth Ardens thick lotion as it sinks in alot easier into my skin.

{PICTURE HEAVY}

♥ Found a load of family pictures I had forgot I had on a memory stick. Some made me laugh, some made me cry but each on made me remember something happy and everyone in them I love.

♥ Got my nails did! I am rubbish at nail art, my skills stop at a french manicure so I am currently in love with this feathery design on my now very pretty nails. They are actually a pre designed set I bought from ebay, I am so impressed with them. I will do a more in depth review this week.

♥ Became rather addicted to wotsits, no really I am now on a wotsit buying ban otherwise I would die from wotsit poisoning (yes I did make it up, but I am concerned it could happen....)

♥ Applied loads of skin cleansing, pore reducing, oil balancing, brightening face masks in my search to get rid of some horrid breakout that seemed to magically appear over night on my chin!

♥ Much on my graze box in a bid to kick my wotsit addiction. FYI loving these little things, you get some yummy treats to munch on and it is great to know it is totally healthy *thumbs up*

♥ Ebay led me to find two beautiful necklaces, which I shall share more pics and info in another post!

♥ I had a good week, finally put some plans into action and things are looking up for once. This meant lots of smiling, merrily singing and dancing like no one could see.. or at least I hope they didn't eek!

♥ The wonderful Camilla from Cliniques PR sent me some beautiful make up pieces to play with, I have thanked her already but I shall again.. Thank you :) She is one of the NICEST people in PR that I have come accross.

♥ Discovered some lovely bracelets at ASDA which I cannot remove from my wrist as they are far too pretty not to be worn.

Battle to the death ♥

This last week I have had really bad breakout, so I have been trying everything to sort them out and get rid of those evil things. So I thought I would share with you two fool proof products that never fail to shift my spots.

♥ Step 1:

This zesty scrub manages to dig out all the dirt from my pores and takes away any dead skin cells that are making my skin look dull. I love using this, you take a little ball of the scrub and mix it with some water till you get a paste then massage it onto the skin. I like to leave it on for a minute then wash it off with a facial sponge.

Revealing clean and clear skin.

♥ Step 2:

Firstly this smells AH. MAY. ZING. sometimes I feel face masks smell a little off but this like all Liz Earle products smells of floral essential oils, and it stays until you wash it off which is nice to help you relax. It really does pull everything out of the depths of my pores, without drying my skin like some deep cleansing masks can.

It also a great mask if you have oily skin as it helps to balance the skin out.

And after I've washed it off my skin is like a whole new being, with the spots retreating and my skin softer I can sleep soundly knowing tomorrow my skin will be back to normal.

Question? I really need to invest in some form on spot treatment to dab on throughout the day what one do you recommend?

Product rave ♥

I have tried a couple of products from the Naked range, their hair mask is one of my hair favourites. This is another product that comes out a big winner from the brand, the Melt Away Naked – Starflower Foam Bath. I had kinda had mixed feelings before trying this, being so 'natural' would it really create the towering bubbles in my bath that I adore? It certainly didn't create an over flowing amount of bubbles but certainly more than enough to quench my desire for a bubble bath. It also smells divine, with 100% pure essential flower oils it creates a wonderful relaxing aroma in the bathroom, all adding to a relaxing atmosphere to melt away all the stress. The main ingredient starflower is packed with GLA and essential fatty acid all helping your skin to combat signs of ageing and it helps to keep the moisture locked into my skin.

If you are looking for a bubble bath dream then get down to boots (or online) and grab yourself a lovely bottle. For only £3.99 you cant go wrong!

Juicy Couture - Couture Couture ♥

Yesterday the postman delivered a lovely surprise from Juicy Couture, it was love at first sight.Surprisingly this is quite a heavy solid ring, just what I would expect from Juicy Couture, nothing cheap about it. Beautifully adorned with sparkling crystals and the Juicy logo, it is the perfect ring to slip on to add a little something to your outfit day or night.

Now I am a little terrible at describing scents, it is difficult as it is different on everyone but this is a heavy floral scent, a blend of natural orange flower, star jasmine, blushed plum and vanilla it is divine to apply. Slide the ring open and blend the perfume onto your skin, it sinks in swiftly and doesn't leave any residue on the skin.

Available from the 1st February in Boots, Debenhams, Harrods, House of Fraser, John Lewis, Selfridges and The Perfume Shop. So plenty of places to grab yourself this little gem.

RRP £35

I wish upon a star... ♥

Just a few things I'm lusting after atm..

Elemis Renew & Resurface Anti-Ageing Cleansing Duo

I am in need of a new face wash atm, and this has popped up a couple of times on my dashboard with some pretty good reviews. I have never tried anything from Elemis before, so is this the best set to go for or is there another WOW product I should know about?

Elemis Exotic Frangipani Monoi Moisture Melt

I have seen this on a few of the girls talk about this body melt/oil and raved about it, and it is now at the top of my lusting after list. This past month I have been loving body oils and this is next on my list.

Jelly Pong Pong Petal Perfection Set

After being impressed with the products I have tried from Jelly Pong Pong I am quite keen to try a few more pieces and this little set looks right up my street, and it is such a bargain at only £15!!

So tell me ladies have you tried any of these products, and if so did you like them?

Help a Heart week 2 ♥

The Works with Water Nutraceutical’s Help: a Heart, Nominate your Hero campaign has launched with great success. The campaign’s Heart Ambassadors worked hard to spread the word for the launch of the four-week campaign across their blogs, Facebook and Twitter. The notion of celebrating their unsung heroes  clearly struck a chord with people, as we had a great number of moving Hero Statements entered.

Week 1 winner: @SooperSandy (via Twitter), who nominated her 86 year old WW2 veteran neighbour
SooperSandy’s hero nomination statement: “My 86 year old WW2 veteran neighbour [is my hero]. He  ought a wheelchair to take his 'old boy' pals (the 90 year olds!) to Burma Star events! Can't relate how fab my hero is in one tweet, he’s amazing; he gardens the no-man’s-land in our road and bought a bike last year!”

The Works with Water Nutraceuticals judging panel chose SooperSandy’s hero to receive the prize of a Healthy Heart Warming Hamper, as they admired the 86 year old’s spirit and kind nature in looking after his fellow neighbours and war veterans. The judging panel felt that his selfless nature really captures the essence of what the Help: a Heart, Nominate your Hero campaign is all about, so was the perfect winner for the first week of the campaign.

Looking after your family’s health

Many people’s Hero Statement entries related to their personal heroes looking after the health of other people; having someone caring for you when you are poorly can make the world of difference to your overall sense of wellbeing. Works with Water Nutraceuticals is campaigning to raise awareness of the importance of looking after your own and your family’s heart health, as heart disease kills more people in the UK than any other condition. Throughout the duration of the 4 week campaign, Works with Water is offering 35% off both its 100% natural heart health supplements online – help: cholesterol and help: blood pressure – at www.workswithwater.co.uk.

Week 2 of the campaign – get your entries in!

Why not nominate your own everyday heroes in your life - the person that regularly performs acts of kindness that perhaps get taken for granted – and give their reasons why that person is special. The most compelling entry each week will win an exclusive Healthy Heart Warming Hamper, which will be  delivered to the person they have nominated as their hero with a personalized note saying ‘you’re my hero’.

Nominate your hero (Stating who your hero is, their relationship to you and why they are your hero):

Precision nails - Hazel & Gretel

I am still in love with these nail polishes, and currently sporting some twinkly toes and nails thanks to this amber polish packed with light catching glitter. This is day 3 and still chip free (bar one finger that I JUST chipped - sods luck). What is more to say, this brand is my new fave.

No7 Exquisite Curl

So just over a week ago I was sent the new No7 mascara to try out and let them know what I think about it. The aim of the mascara is to give volume and curl that lasts, does it live up to this? Yes. I would say more the curl than the volume, I've tried other No7 mascaras that give me more volume but for a curl that lasts this wins hands down. Normally most mascaras start out with a nice full curled look to the lashes but within the hour its gone and your lashes have dropped. No7 Exquisite Curl mascara really holds onto that curl, after applying at around 10am I checked back after dinner in the evening to see my lashes still looked perfect, still curled.

My eyes took a battering recently after trying another mascara from a high end brand, it left my eyes very irritated and prone to watering. This didn't make it any worse, it didn't flake or smudge. It came of really easily too no tugging or pulling at my eyes to get it off, a little bit of cleanser and it was gone. No panda eyes.

A big thumbs up from me!

Sunday session ♥

♥ Long time no ramble.. It feels like forever since I have done my sunday update post, but I need to get back into the swing of it. The main reason I haven't done my updates is because two weeks ago I moved and I've just been settling in and organising my things. AND the biggie.. my laptop broke this week so blogging slowed down, thankfully my dad has given me his samsung one to keep me from going insane until my laptop is fixed.

♥ Make up make up make up. This week saw me get accepted onto a make up course and also start doing freelance work. For the first time in ages things are really falling into place and I couldn't be happier :)

♥ Scented candles have overtaken my room, as I type there is a lovely mix of 3 creating a lovely fruity scent and I can't stop burning them.

Jennifer Aniston perfume, with Golden Amber, Rose Water, Sensual Musk, Wild Violets, Blooming Jasmine and Citrus it is my most worn perfume right now. Can't stop spritzing myself with this stuff. You can get this from ThePerfumeShop

Girls with Attitude - Flutter your lashes♥

Anyone that knows me is aware how much I love false eyelashes, I will wear them both during the day and for nights out. Though for nights out I tend to go very dramatic with the lashes! Anyway... I was asked whether I would like to try a set of Girls with Attitude lashes I of course said yes, they have a fabulous selection of lashes and they are such a bargain coming in at under £5 a set making the brand affordable.

The set I tried was from the 'Extension' range, and they are called Flutter Babe. My perfect kind of lash thick full and dense, making for very sultry eyes.

I used the glue that came with them and it was surprisingly good, it really kept the lashes on all day.

They have really impressed me, so next time I am in town I want to try out some other lashes they do - Seriously curvy, swept away, ultra glamour and their single lash extensions pack!
