How many lipsticks do I really need to carry?♥

This is a post for all you lipstick junkies out there like me, I can never have too many! So I went to apply my lipstick after lunch today and found myself searching through my handbag trying to find the right colour, now normally I might carry 1 or 2 lipsticks but I realised for the last week I have been carrying 6 around. A few too many I think. So what colours do I carry around you may ask, well I'm going to show the shades that live in my bag, my 'go to' colours if you will.

Lets take a closer look...

Left to right clock wise:
♥New CID i-pout in Dusk
This is my new favourite nude, I haven't worn a nude lip in quite awhile but the creamy rich pigmentation of this has won me round and I haven't let it out of my sight since my eyes locked onto this last week. If you want a warm nude that won't wash you out but sill give you that Kim Kardashian pout then this is one to check out.

♥Estee Lauder -Fuchsia Velvet
Another new(ish) lipstick that I;ve had for maybe 2-3 weeks but love the matte finish that gives you loud pink lipsticks. There will be a full review for this lipstick coming soon so keep an eye out for that.

♥MAC Saint Germain
This is a long standing love of mine it was one of the first MAC shades I picked up. I have been loving my bubble gum pinks alot again and this is a must have for any pink lippie lovers out there.

♥MAC Jazzed
I have had a bit of a love hate relationship with this particular lipstick, I got a friend to track one down but within a couple of months I sold it convinced it just wasn't right for me. But it has found it's way back into my vast collection and I'm not sure why but I love it. Perhaps when it first hit the scene I was such a nude lip girl that any colour didn't look right, now that I am a full on colour lover I think I am more comfortable wearing it. Funny how things change.

♥YSL Rouge Volupte No1
Another nude I've come full circle I don't typically reach for this if I am honset purely as these fade so quickly but the colour and feel is just too lovely to resist so I will always purchase YSL lipsticks. This is a very milky nude on me normally I go for this when I have darker eyes.

♥MAC All Styled Up
I believe this was limited edtion (maybe?) so not 100% sure if you can still buy it but never the less another firm favourite of mine. I have been going for this on an everyday basis recently, I find it so easy to wear no matter what I'm doing with my makeup that day. Perhaps my favourite pink lipstick right now - sorry to my abundance of other pink lipsticks!!
How many lipsticks do you carry around? As many as me? or more do share!

My handbag must haves ♥

Since I'm a aworking girl and all now, I thought it might be good to share with you the products that I carry about with out fail, just cosmetic stuff this time, I will do a full whats in my bag video this weekend (fingers crossed!). I think it is essential to have mini products in your handbag to keep you looking your best through out the day, I don't need to carry much makeup around, I carry products that maintain what I put on or did in the morning.
- Mini Jimmy Choo perfume, carrying about a massive bottle of perfume can be annoying and heavy so I always try to carry a mini version on whatever I have. You can get a sample from most counters or perfume shops.
- Charles Worthington Dry Shampoo, not the best dry shampoo ever but it was the only mini one I could see in boots. Normally I have a lot of volume going on so this just helps to add some oomph if it falls during the day and for hot days its fab to keep your hair looking fresh.
- Eco tools mini brushes, as you can see I have a rather dark lippie in there so I use these to apply lipstick, concealer (not pictured here but it's Laura Mercier secret cover) and for re-smuding eye liner.
- Caudalie Beauty Elixir Mini, anyone who knows me will know that beauty sprays are an addiction of mine I must have 7 or 8 on the go right now but this bad boy is my handbag one as it is the perfect size and gives your skin a refreshing glow. All whilst keeping my makeup look flawless. I love it. You can buy Caudalie from John Lewis.

- L'Occitane Dry Skin Hand Cream, this was give to me at a PR event recently as the PR was extremely shocked I had never tried the hand cream before. She was right I needed this in my life I love this, this is the handbag size but since using this I have purchased the full size tube - which is huge btw! I haven't used any other brand of handcream since this was introduced. You can get L'Occitane from Debenhams.
- Sweet Breath, I cannot stand smelly breath and this hand little chap attaches onto my keyring nicely so I will never be kept off card. On nights out I carry the bigger version but for just chucking in my handbag this is great.

- New CID lipstick, my new fave lipsticks right now are these two, Dusk is a new shade they have just released and Very Cherry is the prettiest deep blood red ever. I tend to carry two lipsticks one for day and one for night/special occassions. You get get it online at www.newcidcosmetics.com or from QVC.

What are your must have handbag mini's? Let me know in the comments..

Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner ♥

Guys I have found my HG eye liner, I am in love with these bad boys. Prestige has come up trumps with eyeliners that have intense pigmentation and that last around the eyes, they went through rigorous hand washing tests to really test them to their limits - they passed. I was eager to test the claim to 'up to 10 hours wear' and they did, not so much on the waterline but then I'm yet to find a liner that will live up to those expectations.
They come in 3 shades, a blue, brown and black. The base colours are all black so you get a really deep colour, a really opaque finish but creamy so you just need to glide the pencil on the eye area. No tugging required here.

The Total Intensity Liners are budget friendly at £4.99 each, for me these 3 shades have replaced my Urban Decay 24/7 liners, you get the same result and quality but for half the cost.

♥Fierce Blue:
I love this blue shade, it comes across so vibrant and eye catching compare to a lot of blue liners out there.

♥Bold Brown:
A cool toned brown, this is great for an every day smokey eye that won't fade.

♥Deepest Black:
You standard black shade, very rich and very opaque. The swatch was just one swipe.
Eyeliner is a big part of my every day makeup, even if I am not wearing a lot of makeup, the three items I will always put on are tinited moisturiser, liner and mascara. I like the fact I am apply this sleepily at 6am and I then don't have to touch it up through the day. I need products that will last a working day.

♥Swatches:

I roped in my friend Stacey to model the Bold Brown shade, and I think it looks really lovely just slicked across the eye and smudged slightly underneith the eye to really frame it.

Prestige Cosmetics Total Intensity Eyeliner £4.99, available exclusively from Boots

Samantha Lou Bracelets ♥

Hello lovely people, this is just a quick post today as I'm on my lunch break but I wanted to share these really pretty friendship style bracelets by Samantha Lou. If you have followed for a while you will know that I love to stack bracelets, friendship or thin bracelets are key for me. So when I was introduced to these I knew they would be a perfect addition.
They come beautifully wrapped in a little bag to keep them safe, which is always a far nicer touch than just shoved in an envelope. I just love how delicate they are, they are handmade so you know thought and time has gone into each one. When possible I always like to support small designers rather than just pick something generic out of Primark or such a shop. It's nice to know that not many people will have one :)

The quality is really good, sturdy and very well made. Unlike another shop bought brand that is now falling apart after only a couple of days wear. I don't think this will be leaving my wrist for a while, it is the perfect subtle addition to anyone who likes delicate bracelets.

Prices start at £18 from
Or you can buy them HERE

p.s how nice is the illustration at the top?! I love it!

Klee Blogs Her Five Minute Face♥

Hello! you're probably really confused as to why my face is appearing on your dashboard and not the beautiful lu's, but fear not i was just asked to do a few guest posts! My name is klee and i blog over at http://wakeupbuttercup.blogspot.com/ usually about makeup, sometimes what i wear but mostly about my pug.
I'm one of those girls that owns a lot of makeup but i don't always have the time to slap it all on or play around with different looks... mainly because i prefer to sleep. just me? so i thought i'd show you my five-minute-five-product face.
Illamasqua skin base foundation, revlon cherries in the snow lipstick, makeup forever smoky lash mascara, l'oreal super liner carbon gloss, nars orgasm blush this literally does take me five minutes and requires minimal effort. I use my fingers to apply my foundation so only a brush for blush is needed. I'm currently trying to master the art of cream blushes to cut brushes out all together.. the ultimate lazy girl makeup. anyway, add a few coats of mascara, a quick sweep of eyeliner and finish off with a bright lipstick. viola!
I always find adding a bright lip makes me feel a little bit more 'done' when i can't be bothered with eyeshadow or contouring and highlighting and whatever else i'm supposed to do.

It's Lu... Guys Klee is amaze and I really hope you go follow her. She's a sista from another mista :) See you Monday..

Sudocrem and I go back about 3 years when I was first told about the benefits you would see if you suffered from breakouts, I have used this as a face mask and general treatment many times.

The thick protecting cream will instantly provide a soothing relief to your skin, whilst the delicate formula helps to repair an irritations or problems and get your skin back to its normal self.

Dr Bronner Magic Soaps - Citrus ♥

Citrus Liquid Soap 16 oz
A magic soap? Sounds interesting doesn't it, well I've been using this for around 6 weeks now and it is pretty special, perhaps not magic.Firstly I love the scent, so fresh and invigorating, you really do feel ready for the day after using this. With the organic orange, lemon and lime essential oils its a very sensually stimulating experience, the rich aromas just add to the cleansing experience. It is nothing new that I love my products to be scented.

I've been using this for cleansing my face and body, as well as general hand washing. Normally I wouldn't use a 'soap' on my face but after seeing how thick and rich this soap was it made me want to try it. It was a rather surprising that my skin was left quite normal, not dry as I would have expected it to be after.

Over all I really love this and highly recommend it, if you are like me and like that aromatherapy kind of product that really performs for your skin. You need to at least try this, I'm not alone in loving this either Dr Bronner has some famous American fans - Natalie Portman, Gwyneth Paltrow and Drew Barrymore. Another fabulous plus is the fact Dr Bronner products are Fair Trade, Certified Organic and they do not test on animals either - yipee!
