Burt's Bees - Citrus Facial Scrub♥

When I think about Burt's Bees, lip balm comes to mind, certainly not skin care. This is a new brand to me in terms of skin care and body care. I love the lip balm, so when I got the chance to try this it was a really good opportunity to see if their other products live up to my high regards of their lip balm.

♥Burt's Bees - Citrus Facial Scrub♥

This is a yummy sounding scrub, Ground Almonds, Oats and Pecans are blended with Rose Petals, as well as  Orange, Grapefruit Oils and Sweet Almond Oil, all very nice sounding. Very natural and gentle enough for every day use, gets into your pores to remove traces of dirts and daily oil, as well as any make up residue. It smells nice too, fruity, definitely still yummy.

What is fabulous about this scrub is that it cleared my pores, without stripping my skin, it felt soft and moisturised afterwards. I literally could not stop touching my skin.

I like how natural the product is, when I "ooo'ed" and was pleased to read the ingredients, nothing scary sounding in sight.

When I opened the lid my first reaction was, that looks horrible! But in the name of beauty I continued on, and true came the saying "never judge a book by it's cover" because once I began to use the product it surprised me.

As you can see it is a dry formulation, you have to mix it with water til it form a sloppy paste. It feels like sugar, but with more moisture to it, you can really feel the exfoliation grains. This isn't a creamy exfoliator, it is a work horse it gets into your pores. Personally I prefer products like this, creamy consistencies do nothing for me I don't feel it working.

♥Here's a snap of it in action♥

How to use it:
Take a penny sized about between your fingers with a little water til it forms a paste. Using circular motion massage onto your skin. Then rinse with warm water.

Another plus to the scrub is because it is very natural, You will never find any Sulfates, Parabens, Phthalates or Petrochemicals in any Burt's Bees products, so if you like your skin care  really pure this is a great option

The packaging of this is nice, I like the heavy glass jar and metal lid, feels sturdy. Kinda 'home made' like when your gran would make jam. I like it.

Overall, a nice product from Burt's Bees, I would love to try more from the range.

RRP £9.99

I have this too and love it! It smells so nice, too. My other favorite is the Laura Mercier face polish - a total must have, in my opinion!

Oh, I know this may be annoying, but I caught an error:

"Take a penny sized about between your fingers with a little water til it forms a PASTA."

hehe - At least it's a funny error! ;)
