My boyfriend and I met at Uni but in the holidays I was in Surrey and he was in Sheffield- we found that seeing each other every two weeks worked best. It gives you something to look forward to then.

My friend has been with her boyfriend for 7 years and 4 of which have been doing the long distance thing- he was even in Amsterdam for 3 months at one point. But they've always been fine and are more in love than ever!

I'm at uni and my boyfee is at home, we're a bit closer so he comes to see my every weekend.
But we talk on the phone like 3-4 times a day, text, talk on msn, skype etc. It is really hard at first but over time you get used to it.
We got in to a pattern of when I saw him so it made things a lot easier, like we both get excited over how many sleeps is left till we see each other again.
You tend to find something that works for you :)

Me & Graham had only been going out about a month when i moved to Germany. It made us stronger if anything, sometimes we'd go months without seeing each other but we'd phone each other pretty much every night. His mum doesnt allow msn on her laptop, so he could only get online occasionally!

Its hard, really hard, cause you miss them SO much but its so worth it! Absence really does make the heart grow stronger :)

and now we live together and have been going out for over 2 years xxx

Long distance relationships may seem really sad in the beginning, but it's nice because it really makes your bond stronger! I used to write my bf (love) letters when he went away to uni and we would talk on the phone all the time, we were only 4 hours away so I would go to see him about every other weekend or when I would have a couple days off from work. If you have skype that would be a great idea! Don't worry hon a lot of people have to do it at one point or another! :)

I'm sure you will be fine.
Me and my fella have coped with a long distance relationship for over two years.
He lives two hours' drive away and we see each other only at weekends.
It's hard but it can be done!
Good luck xx

Its very hard at the start but once u understand that it has to be that way and sort of start to accept it becomes easier. Lots of msn, txts, phonecalls etc and then when u get to see him it will be even more special :)
