My friend has been with her boyfriend for 7 years and 4 of which have been doing the long distance thing- he was even in Amsterdam for 3 months at one point. But they've always been fine and are more in love than ever!

But we talk on the phone like 3-4 times a day, text, talk on msn, skype etc. It is really hard at first but over time you get used to it.
We got in to a pattern of when I saw him so it made things a lot easier, like we both get excited over how many sleeps is left till we see each other again.
You tend to find something that works for you :)

Its hard, really hard, cause you miss them SO much but its so worth it! Absence really does make the heart grow stronger :)
and now we live together and have been going out for over 2 years xxx
Me and my fella have coped with a long distance relationship for over two years.
He lives two hours' drive away and we see each other only at weekends.
It's hard but it can be done!
Good luck xx
