John Frieda Precision Foam Colour♥

I'm sure you have seen a few of the lovely ladies rocking their new hair colours all thanks to the new John Frieda Precision Foam Colour home dye kit. They have really stepped up the home box kit game here and come out with a new innovative idea, that I love. Normally when it comes to box dyes I'm a little dubious whether I will get the right colour and I always dread the mess that comes along with the running and very messy dye.

The idea of having a foam that means no dripping down your neck, or staining around the hair line makes it so much easier. I like the idea of not having to ruin everything from my fluffy pink towels, to my clothes and my floral bed spread. Plus the added benefit of having a low smell, normally box dye is strong and stinks my room out.

Plus with the quick turn around time, no longer leaving it in for an hour. With claims to cover greys perfectly in only 30 minutes.

It launched in stores at the beginning of November. I'm sure this is going to be a huge success!

I have my box at the ready and when I'm due to have my hair coloured again I will be dipping my toes into this new dye. Hopefully it won't change my hair too much, and will keep it healthy and shiny. Once I've tried it I will report back with some snaps of my new colour. Look out in a weeks time!

FOTD ♥

No idea why I'm wearing make-up today, it's freezing cold and I don't want to leave my bed but I have the doctors in a bit. Nothing heavy just some blush, MAC All Styled Up Lipstick and then Illamasqua Ore pigment on the eyes.

I have my fingers crossed for more snow.. there is barely any in Lancaster right now!

Sunday Session♥

This week has been rather slow, the pneumonia doesn't seem to be getting any easier and I feel weak/tired most of the time. Saturday was a great day at the Aussie event (post coming soon) but it really took it out of me so today I have barely left my bed. My throat and chest are killing me.

Sadly I can't see me doing anything exciting this week at all. But I'm quite happy in my bed it is rather pretty with the candles & fairy lights.. Votivo candles are my new loves right now.

Sorry for nothing to really report on, fingers crossed I get better this week!

Dear Santa...♥

Another hair styling gift for you but the print was what sold me on this! Its so cute! It would work well for girls or guys. For the Christmas holiday 2010, the set includes a holiday edition plaid Express Ion Smooth, a round brush to help style and a thermal pouch so you don't set fire to anything!

Illamasqua Quills♥

“I was inspired by the contrast between Illamasqua’s new black Nail Varnish in ‘Scorn’ and the bright metallic of the nail wrap I have developed.” Mike Pocock

Nail Quills? Is this the next in the nail trend? I'm not sure I'm convinced, sure they look visually stunning and very creative, but practical? Not so much. Value for money? At £35 a pair they are pretty steep. You would have to ensure you keep these in top condition in order to wear them again and again to get your worth.

Unique, extraordinary, and extravagant these tantalising talons are like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Designed and handmade exclusively for Illamasqua by one of the hottest names in nails, Mike Pocock, these collector’s items are guaranteed to tease the senses of anyone whose eye they catch. Presented in a beautiful gift box they come complete with nail tabs and glue. False nails will never be the same again!

I love the idea but sadly they aren't for me. Though I am lovely the creativity we are seeing with nails right now!

Peace Love & Juicy Couture♥

The latest launch from Juicy Couture, the new scent is described as:

"Peace, Love and Juicy Couture is inspired by earthly beauty and far fetched things - and captured the free spirited, hippy vibe of Malibu."

Unlike the other Juicy Couture perfumes which are sweet and girly, they set out for this one to be different it isn't so sugary like I find the others. It is deeper with richer floral notes, Meyer lemon blossom, wild hyacinth, sweet apple, black currant, sambac jasmine, star magnolia, Malibu poppy, honeysuckle, linden blossom, orris, patchouli and musk.

It is a fresh scent perfect for all year round a good everyday perfume, though I have loved wearing this recently on the cold mornings it works well with the crispness of the cold air. I definitely smile when I wear this, every time time I catch a wiff of it just makes me think of good memories running around with friends (I'm talking about the past couple summers bot old school from primary school years lol).

As it wears that freshness disappears and it becomes deeper and the patchouli, jasmine and musk really come to the forefront. It's not a cookie cutter scent, I would recommend you try this out next time your shopping and see how it wears on you. Although I am in love with it, a couple of my friends have shared their dislike for how it smells so not one to order straight from on-line

This is right up my street, it is the best balance between sickly sweet and heavy floral/musk.

The other point I want to talk about it is the stunning packaging it is beautiful so chic, elegant and I love having this on display amongst my other perfumes. Plus it comes with a quirky charm bracelet which looks great stacked on along side my others.

MAC & Nicki Minaj♥

Firstly let me say I am a big fan of Nicki Minaj so when I got the press release this morning for this collaboration I got very excited!

The M·A·C Pink Friday Lipstick will be available to buy only on Fridays, starting on the 26th November. You can only get it at Selfridges or MAC on-line. It's supposedly a fabulous mix of her fave MAC shades Pink Nouveau (Satin), and MAC Girl About Town (Amplified Creme) and will be a satin finish. Here's a little Q&A from Nicki Minaj on her inspirations, why she joined with MAC and what she loves!

Tell us about the inspiration for your new M·A·C Lipstick shade, Pink Friday?
This shade is similar to the one I've worn for years by M·A·C but with a little extra ZING! I wanted a color that
represented female empowerment as well as euphoria! The color makes u feel free to rule the world. Its sexy, yet
fun! It pops! Its theatrical! It turns heads! No matter your age, Pink Friday makes u feel like you're the life of
the party!

How did you end up collaborating with M·A·C? What about the brand appeals to you?
I've been wearing M·A·C products since my High School prom. I actually got it done at a M·A·C counter. From
that day on, I've been hooked! I've always felt like M·A·C represents women of all colors and shades. The make-
up always feels like it was custom made for your skin, your shade, your beauty regimen. The day I sat down with
them I was very nervous. This had been my dream for a very long time. Surprisingly, they made me feel right at
home. They had researched my pictures, my music, my fans! The staff seemed more like family than co-workers.
It was a great experience.

What are some of your favorite M·A·C products?
I love the Studio Tech line for the basics. Once the foundation is on, I add Dolly Mix blush. I don't go anywhere
without the M·A·C make-up wipes. Nothing removes make-up better!

How does it feel to have an exclusive lipstick named for your album and inspired by you and your style?
It feels like a dream come true! I've dedicated my entire life to this album. Writing and recording it was an
emotional roller coaster for me. It felt like this was my last chance to address the world. To have a company of
M·A·C’s magnitude get behind my little fantasy world seems surreal. They've not only recognized me but they've
recognized my fans. That feels amazing.

You love experimenting with your look. What are your top beauty must-haves?
A Pink Wig, Pink Lips, lots of eye lashes, a great pump, and a pink push up bra!

How would you describe your style?
My style is ever changing. Its free, fun, moody, militant at times, girly girl, flamboyant, girl next door meets
runway!

Who are some of your style icons?
Iman, Naomi Campbell, Donatella Versace, Cyndi Lauper, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson.

Any beauty or style advice for your fans?
Never fall asleep with your make-up on! Always wash your face before you go to bed, keep your face moisturized
and drink lots of water!

How did you come up with the name “Pink Friday”?
I was talking to management about a promotional campaign to launch the album on the week of Black Friday.
We were throwing out words and ideas and he said Pink Friday. I loved it right away but we still didn't have a
name for the album. About a week later in the airport I was talking about the album again and I shouted Pink
Friday! That's not just a campaign! That's the name of this album! It represents change. The day has been
called Black Friday all my life. I wanted to make a splash that week similar to how I've made a splash in Hip
Hop which has always been male dominated.

I personally think if MAC and Nicki Minaj teamed up to do a collection it would be fierce and would be a great success! I know I'd buy it! What do you think?

Will you be getting this lipstick?

Illamasqua Art of Darkness Collection♥

You all are aware about the Art of Darkness the latest collection released from Illamasqua I did a post about the launch a while back. But I want to show you the products that the every so kind Alex sent me to try from the collection. I loved the deep jewel tones and the rich colours, very dark and mysterious much like the imagery.

♥Pure Pigment £15.00 - Ore♥
A gorgeous rich golden bronze colour, with glitter shot through. Looks stunning all over the lid with MAC Carbon in the crease for a sultry smokey eye. As with every other Illamasqua pigment the quality is brilliant.

♥Liquid Metal £17.00 - Stotic♥
This was the second liquid metal I own, but I far prefer this for the deep jade colour, the best colour they have created in my opinion. I have worn this smudged all around my eye with a dusting of a silver eye shadow to set it, and it really brings out the white of my eyes. I got a lot of compliments when I wore it out.

♥Lipstick £15.00 - Disciple♥
This is perhaps the stand out product for me but also one that pushes your make-up boundaries. It takes confidence to wear this out, especially when it's not for a fancy dress party. I found this worked best gently patted onto the lips and finished off with a red gloss to give a really intense blue/purple lip. Just remember if you feel confident, you'll stand out for the right reason not for being the girl wearing blue lipstick!

♥Precision Ink £16.50 - Alchemy♥
Everyone was raving about these liners, the black one apparently is the top liner out there on the market. But I hoped this would turn up and I was thrilled when I saw this colour. I have been wearing this under my lower lashes with just mascara (or a very nude eye shadow) to give my eyes twinkle that catches the light. The staying power of this is amazing too. The swatch below stayed on even after a shower scrubbing loofah! Seriously impressive.

HOTD ♥

excuse the shirt I borrowed it from a guy friend for Halloween but it is surprisingly comfy!

I have been wearing a fish tail plait a lot recently. It takes some practice to get the hang of of doing it, but I've found it's easy peasy now and can do one in a couple of minutes.

Hair product - Avon♥

"Formulated with Lotus Shield Technology, to help form a protctive lightweight barrier that holds up even in humid weather. Lightweight, leave-in serum, instantly helps smooth and tame, then lasts through two washes."

The launch for this was massive, I read about it all over the place, so even before I bought it I knew it was going to be good. Everyone praised it as being the best thing, to tame the frizz and keep your locks silk smooth with the changing climate. I haven't really ever had issues with frizz, the odd day of irritating fly away's what I hoped to gain from this was the general condition being better making it smooth. My hair is fine so I need something light, and this is great not heavy at all. It doesn't weigh my hair down, even the day after.

I don't like to use loads of products in my hair, I can't stand using more than a couple of styling products/tools. So if I can use a product that will nourish my hair and make it sleek too, then that's a big plus for me. The shine it gives is great too, any blondes will know how hard it is for us blondes to get a good sheen to our hair especially one that doesn't give your hair a greasy limp look.

It does a great job at controlling my hair, keeping it in place and sleek. I apply it after I've washed my hair, apply some added heat defence then blow dry and straighten any kinks out. My hair feels SO soft, I often find myself getting a little carried away playing with it sometimes :)

I have repurchased this twice now, and until I find something better I will continue too.
